Description
This workshop explores food-related challenges in neurodivergent families, focusing on sensory sensitivities, food anxiety, and mealtime pressures. We discuss how neurodivergent individuals may have strong food preferences due to sensory differences and cognitive factors, and we highlight the importance of understanding and respecting these needs. Key topics include managing food anxiety, encouraging healthy eating habits, supporting children with Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID), and addressing misophonia. Parents will gain practical strategies to reduce stress around mealtimes and advocate for reasonable adjustments in schools.
