I love the fact that I goes to the group and mixes with girls that have similar needs as her. She hasn’t had the opportunity to meet any autistic young people that are the same age as her and therefore are dealing with similar life situations. It’s a valuable asset, not only to her but also to us as a family as she has opportunity do “download” (or not) without judgement or fear of no understanding, this obviously has a positive impact on her confidence and wellbeing. These groups are a vital part of the community of autistic girls.
