The AGN group has been amazing for my daughter. She was so anxious going to the first session but she really enjoyed it. She has grown in confidence since she started attending and will now chat to the other attendees. It has been so empowering for her to meet other people who face similar challenges to her and to be able to spend time with them in a safe and nurturing space. Last session, she even met someone who had just started at the college that she wants to attend next year. Today she had her interview for that college place. She was able to speak to the interviewer and answer the questions asked of her and we have just found out that she has been offered a place. Without the AGN group, I don’t think she’d have been able to overcome her difficulties in speaking to new people so I feel we have AGN to thank for helping her to achieve her dream college place.
